Our lovely pub in Guildford is warm and welcoming, offering a unique combination of traditional English pub and French brasserie. Our chefs prepare food to order using the freshest seasonal ingredients, creating delicious à la carte and monthly-changing set menus.
You can settle down with a drink in the bar or one of the cosy nooks. Our lively brasserie serves up à la carte feasts, as well as a set menu which changes every month. The garden also overlooks Guildford Castle, so it’s the perfect spot to sip a coffee and read the paper.

With winter upon us what better than our seasonal à la carte menu which is packed full of deliciously moreish dishes like trout gravadlax or duck leg confit with black cherry sauce. Even if you are not normally a dessert lover our chocolate delice is a melt-in-the-mouth dream. If you are looking for a quick bite then our monthly-changing set menu is fantastic value at just £11.95 for two courses.

Newcomer Joao has already made his mark at The March Hare and under his watchful eye this gorgeous pub in the heart of Guildford is going from strength to strength.
Albert has been with the company for a while now and, as Head Chef at The March Hare, his reputation for attention to detail and creative flair is well-known throughout the company.
